 William C. Foster founded Crane Rental Service in 1965 in its’ original location of Tustin, California. Bill started the company with just one conventional eight-ton crane which he ingeniously converted into a remote controlled unit. It was this enterprising spirit that led the company from its humble beginnings to a rapidly-expanding fleet of cranes. Larger facilities quickly became a necessity and in 1974 Crane Rental Service moved to its current location in Orange, California. The central location of the Orange facility enabled the company to expand the number and size of cranes in its fleet and to add additional staff members who brought with them a wealth of crane industry knowledge.
Success continued and soon a second location was needed to serve an ever growing customer base. Crane Rental Service opened its Tempe, Arizona office in 1983. The Arizona location is headed by Ed Hass and operated with the same spirit inspired by Bill Foster – “To offer a well-maintained fleet, around the clock availability, an experienced staff, and to give each and every job our utmost attention to detail and service”. |
